LCARE 700 Operation
-
Press the PTT, wait one second, and begin speaking
-
Stop speaking, wait 1/2 second, and release the PTT
-
The repeater will transmit a beep and continue to transmit for a brief period of time, and then the repeater will stop transmitting.
-
When it is your turn to talk, you may start after the beep.
-
EMERGENCIES always have priority on the repeater.
-
If you are having a long conversation, take your time between speakers. It allows others to break in with emergencies or to make a short call. If someone requests use of the repeater for a short call, please be generous in finding a way to let that happen.
-
Using your GMRS callsign is required. On the LCARE website there are docs about getting your license and how to properly use your callsign.
